Civil Litigation

Civil litigation is the procedure of settling disputes or claims arising out of contracts (for example,
for the supply of goods or services) or a civil wrong (for example, a car accident) between at least
2 parties of individuals, companies or government bodies through the courts.
Regardless of your experience of the court system, if you are involved
in litigation, it is likely to be a very stressful time and it is our role to guide
you through the necessary steps and costs involved throughout.

We will advise you from the on-set what the strengths and weaknesses of
your case are and whether certain matters are worth pursuing. We will also
advise on the likely actions of the other side in order to anticipate what the likely
outcomes could be. Strategy is crucial in litigation and cases can often
“run away” without careful management. Litigation can be costly, so it is
important to balance the financial implications against the merits and
potential outcomes of the case at hand.

Types of cases covered by civil litigation include:

  • Landlord and Tenant disputes,
  • Disputes arising from contracts (for example, non-payment of goods / services).
  • Insolvency / Bankruptcy
  • Partnership Disputes
  • Commercial Litigation
